Mr. Sappenfield:
Thank you so much for your support of our military. The items
that are donated for our soldiers are so much needed and appreciated.
Literally hundreds of our soldiers walk away from every mail
call without ever receiving anything from home.
Many soldiers join the military to be a part of something.
Many come from bad home situations, and these are most often
the ones who never receive anything from home. Thankfully,
those who do receive care packages share with their "brothers."
Many people are surprised when I tell them that the items
my son most often requests are personal care items. Everyone
thinks these items are provided for them, ... but they are
not. If someone does not send a soldier razors, q-tips, and
a toothbrush, he simply has to do without these things. There
is no Wal-Mart in the War Zone. (Read
